What it is
The Sunpura U8000 AC is the largest single unit in the Sunpura range: 8 kWh of storage in one integrated, plug-and-play cabinet, built on SolidCore semi-solid cells, an EV-grade chemistry chosen for safety and long life. It is AC-coupled, so it adds to a home that already has solar without rewiring the array.
Available 2027
The U8000 AC is not part of the initial South African range. It is expected in South Africa in 2027, and its South African edition datasheet has not been issued yet, so we publish no specifications, figures or documents for it until they exist. For substantial storage today, the S4800 stacks to 14.4 kWh in one system.
